Pest Control – Cockroaches

Cockroaches represent one of the most serious risks to public health, because they spread diseases such as gastro-enteritis, diarrhoea, and salmonella, which contribute to food poisoning. They carry filth and disease from refuse to food preparations areas and contaminate the food we eat.

Cockroaches are mainly nocturnal and come out to explore their environment and look for food. One particular species carries its egg capsule and protects it until just before hatching, which makes it harder to combat against and treat the infestation.

Different types of cockroach include German cockroach, Oriental cockroach, American cockroach and Australian cockroach. The first two are the most common are smaller and more likely to be found in this country, whereas the others are more tropical species.

Treatment Methods

We use a gel product that can be used anywhere in a building to kill the roaches and insect monitors to find out the severity of the problem.
